The intentional fire bombings of civilians stands out in my mind. That's right GST.. We bombed the HELL out of their cities and killed thousands of their civilians.. Which means, following the same logic you are clinging to now, you would have been calling for the US to cease all military action against the Nazis and Japanese.Furthermore, you would have ignored the Rape of Nanking, the Holocaust, forced slavery and every other atrocity committed by the Japanese and Germans, and only cited the war crimes of the Allies..... GST, I don't have a problem with you criticizing what you perceive as Israeli war crimes. What I have a problem with is your DELIBERATE INDIFFERENCE to blatant acts of DELIBERATE ATROCITIES by Hizbullah, Iran, and other militant Muslim states... If you can't deal with the issue of war crimes fairly and objectively, without obvious and blatant bias, then they will continue to be perpetrated.Because one obvious aspect of war is that if your own civilians are being deliberately targeted, the less inclined you're going to be to concern yourself with the safety of the enemy's civilians. That's how war crimes get perpetrated, and perpetuated. And people like you, who say nothing about those who are regularly perpetrating blatant atrocities, only provide an excuse for the other side to not be as concerned about avoiding any atrocities by their own people. If you listen carefully you might still hear the screams of the dying children, their flesh ablaze as the oxygen is sucked from their lungs by the firestorm around them. I applaud NONE of it. I find war to be an incredible waste of human potential. But what I applaud is any attempt to permanently end war, and the tyrannical ideologies who believe it's perfectly alright to use their military force to dominate and oppress others. And if that requires brutal means to accomplish that strategy, then so be it.. When the US goes to war, it's never going to be as "tidy" as someone like you would prefer it. And had you expressed the kind of criticisms in that environment, as you do now, you'd be lucky to still have any teeth left. What's more important though, is ending it as quickly as possible and getting on with healing the emotional wounds and attempting to cover the scars upon our humanity. Hawk
