Going solar could mean you'll be the only one in the neighborhood with electricity someday soon. If it takes 10 years or less to pay off the initial expense is it worth it? The problem is getting solar panel costs down and that can happen in the coming years as silicon shortages are relieved and production increases. I like SunPower Solar panels but they are not very responsive to e-mail requests for a sales rep to contact me. I imagine they have all their production spoken for for the near future.
