<according to your own admission, there wasn't much to salute about what the US accomplished in WWII...>

Your endless attempts at deceit are becoming legendary. World War II was not only thrust upon us, we should have intervened much earlier on behalf of the Jews who were the target of German war crimes. In no way have any of my posts derided the US decision to join the war nor the essential role of the US in winning the war. What I do not accept as legitimate are instances where targeting of civilians resulted in mass murder. That is no more acceptable than Hitler's mass murder of civilians, although it is hard to compare anything to the monstrous crimes committed against the Jewish people. You would think that would have led to them to renounce the murder of innocent people -- it is doubly tragic to see Israel now engage in war crimes after what the Jewish people themselves have experienced.
