Apple Computer's shares jumped 4.53 percent to close at $71.48 Tuesday after e-mail invitations to an event next week fueled rumors of a new movie downloading service. The rumors apparently gained momentum after the invitations -- which said "It's Showtime" -- from Cupertino-based Apple went out to the media. The event is scheduled for Sept. 12 in San Francisco, the same day as the opening of Apple Expo in Paris. There has been speculation for months that the iPod maker will soon add full-length feature films to its online iTunes Music Store. The company already provides television show downloads along with its massive music library. Earlier this year, Apple CEO Steve Jobs became the largest stockholder and a board member of The Walt Disney Co. through its acquisition of Pixar Animation Studios Inc., which Jobs also headed. biz.yahoo.com

Did you look at the MSFT chart at all? It's like a balance beam.
