Well if they are true, and apparently they come from a state department document, then why should we treat islam as anything more than a politically repressive and very regressive Religion that demands equality from others but denies it anywhere it can.

Well, SARMAN, buddy, I've been in Saudi. I can tell you that every statement made about it there is true. Want to find out for yourself? Well, your FIRST problem will be to find a Saudi subject to sponsor you for a visa. You can't apply; THEY have to apply for you. Then you will get a thick stack of papers. Among them you will find documents setting forth those rules. Oh, and being an atheist is also punishable by death in Saudi. Nice country, right?
