It wasn't too long ago that people were predicting $100.00/barrel of oil.See what this fellow has to say.
"CALGARY (CP) - With large inventories of oil, no ominous tropical storms on the horizon and all signs pointing to a slowing U.S. economy, the fundamentals are in place to support a continuing drop in energy prices.

But while crude prices closed at their lowest level in nearly three months on Tuesday at US$68.50 on the New York Mercantile Exchange, concerns over future supply disruptions could keep prices comparatively high. BMO capital markets economist Bart Melek said in a research note Tuesday that light oil "should likely be" selling for upwards of US$15 per barrel less than current prices."
