The guy who wrote the definition of illusion did not understand gestalt psychology-lol. There are two species of illusions abnormal and subtle. How did Neanderthal see reality? Probably much like primitive tribes. Gregory Bateson, the great anthropologist wrote a very esoteric book called an ecology of mind which chronicles much of his studies of primitive tribes in Papua New guinea. Our minds create reality.
