State pension plans when they arent being fooled by enron execs follow long standing fiduciary guidelines that work. Hell, i would be for keeping the existing system but investing part of the funds in something as benign as vanguard total market. Anything that will increase the yield over time will delay the coming crash in SS.

someone overdrew their account via a debit card. The banks are under no obligation the notify you of overdrafts.

This doesn't make sense to me. I thought the whole idea of a debit card was that the system would reject a purchase when funds were insufficient. Otherwise, it would be a credit card.

I wish we had a viable alternative to the two major parties/wings. Sometimes I think they should both lose and just take their petty bickering with them when they go.

Do you think we could elect someone from the 'Dissent' party.
