Taking al Sadr out would be sensitive and would probably cause a LOT of chaos, but if we don't do it now, then his power is only going to grow and he'll continue on his way to becoming THE "Grand Ayatollah" of Iraq.

He SHOULD have been eliminated early in the war.

I think the Mahdi Militia has quite a bit of influence outside Sadr City. In Basra I think they're behind many of the crackdowns on Western influences.

If Sistani dies or is killed, then all bets are off, me thinks.
