Doug ..that just shows your ignorance. It is amazing how the mind rationalizes behaviour. "Devout" has many different meanings and one cannot base it on one's expectation of personal behavioural conduct. Sexual repression is probably a key factor: They attract young men who want to immediately get to the prize promised ..... they promise them 72 virgins (quite a motivation for a young man who's sexual appetite is at it's max but to act on it causes huge problems with his conscience and Allah) Or The guilt to gain Allah's forgiveness because they have indulged and now need to show Allah they truly have repented .... These type of honor pledges are used skillfully to manipulate the young minds as they groom the suicide bombers and extremist.
