Mz Hebert makes some sense, but a case can be made that the leadership of the NATO forces was a Liberal Decision, the Liberals don't want to have an election before 2007. So Harper has the backing of the Liberals in the vote, unless they think they can win a solid majority without a leader. Harper running an election on making the best of a bad Liberal deal, may farther decimate the Liberal party, giving votes to the NDP and the Bloc,,,,,
