Hey Lizzie, they can and will get a HELL of a lot worse. Consider this. Bush is holding back his instincts due to upcoming elections for Congress. Once that is out of the way, he will start to unleash some of his pent up anger at Iran and a few other Middle Eastern originating problems. That will send oil barreling upwards (forgive the pun), which could hurt markets even more. If we get into a skirmish with Iran, that will tank markets, tech and Cisco included. Some may say, oh we'll get a quick rebound, but I don't think so this time. If we go to war with Iran, nobody will be expecting a quick conclusion. That myth died with Iraq. Anyway, I'm thinking we get a downturn in Sept and Oct, followed by a short rise through Jan, but then all bets are off after that. This economy and stock market will be Bush's plaything in calendar 2007 and 2008.
