RR is the resident expert at oil drum. E3 has the only alcohol proposal he really likes from the EROEI standpoint. Message 22576676 I don't believe conventional corn alcohol is the answer, but I did just get a few hundred shares of aensi.com They also just bought a company working on cellulosic production. each for my daughter and me. Mostly cuz these guys are spawn of ADM. I figure they have the right connections. Need to start correspondence as a concerned shareholder, to wit, "if EtOH is so great, how come you don't power your plant with it?" I'll try to green them up; windmill, or solar/solar thermal, or, instead of deadheading the train used to haul the grain distillates to the feedlots, fill them up with manure and use methane power for the plants. Do we have 100 tank cars/ plant/week in this country? I suspect not. I'm thinking about RAIL. Subject 56412
