Maurice, you certainly have weird ideas. Most people get married and have children. That's your idea of natural selection by women? So you think that your mother, having perused millions of men (egads!) selected your father because of his DNA and then scratched her head in wonderment that she got....you? Well, ok, I could buy her wonderment but she must have spent a whole lotta time dating. You'd think that she would have produced a son that didn't think of women as doormats but, you know, you roll the genetic dice and then you're stuck but good. I'm pretty sure fire was already here long before the human family existed so that doesn't count as an invention. Britain has bred the soccer hooligan and still foots the bill for a 'monarchy' and meals resembling goop. I wouldn't consider that civilized but it is entertaining...as long as you don't have to eat it.
