don't think it requires any serious comment. I know you know there has been a major effort on the part of several leading figures in the right wing in the country to do the same.

There has been a major effort by the right wing in this country to expel professors from school by order of the national president?

I assume you also know that campaign has not been disowned by the present political leadership of the country.

And 10 million other political campaigns have not be disowned by the present political leadership of the country. Now if they had actually supported the campaign you might have something of a point, and if they where actually the agents of implementing the campaign than there would be a major "mirror image", but neither of those things are actually happening.

John

I am currently Reading the book Squandered Victory by Larry Diamond. .. the bungled effort to to bring Democracy to Iraq...

Who is he...One of America's leading experts on democracy who taught at Stanford with C.Rice.. It was she who enlisted his RELUCTANT AID to go to Iraq and help the US implement Democracy.

His findings are in this book. Just for starters... here are some facts.

The first US civilian administration arrived in Baghdad with virtually no capacity to function in Arabic.

Ayatollah Ali al-Sitani, the most revered Shiite religious leader, repeatedly assumed more pro-democratic positions than did the US itself.

The Bush administration IGNORED numerous warnings from it's own officials in Iraq that the Shiite heartland was going to erupt ( which is did in 2004)and need the protection of MORE American troops.
The US effort to SELL the interim constitution to the Iraq people was undermined by the failure to listen to Iraq popular concerns and by the sluggishness and INEPTITUDE of the occupation's strategic communications team.

This is one reason I am for the CENSURE of Rumsfeld.

AND did you hear what the Senator from SC had to say. This was just another ploy... mind you a ploy by the Democratic to undermine the WOT.....

God,Democrats do not want to win. Must be because we all hate America so much. TSH...
