Odd sort of chap -- probably an immature teenager or a senile old fart with too much spare time. The initial behavioral response, to a non-insulting comment, suggests a paranoid personality disorder. Obviously, the internet presents a wide spectrum of personality types that cannot be easily recognized and avoided. :^)
