Nope - in order to get that good a p value in that large a 'subgroup' the remainder of the population would (if you believed the p values) actually be significantly hurt by the treatment. Given that I think this is unlikely in the extreme this is probably an indication that the subgroup p values are not 'real' (i.e. they just kept picking subgroups until they inevitably found one that had a good p value. Note that you can *****ALWAYS**** do this if you, for instance, have 10 parameters and look for all intersections and unions of combos up to 2. ALWAYS!!!!!! And that is what Vasogen has done. Absolutely and positively.)
