When the building fell, the fire fell with it and obviously landed near enough to these cars to catch them on fire. The other option, that a thermonuclear explosion, set off deep below the towers 15 seconds before the planes hit the buildings somehow burned the cars, but nobody noticed it because they were staring up at the burning buildings is just to ridiculous to even contemplate.
