Calling my position partisan is a rather debatable statement that's also mostly irrelevant. Even if I was 100% partisan it doesn't make the specific statements wrong. As for dumbed down education that's also irrelevant. Its a separate issue that doesn't automatically impact on support for either side of the Arab/Israeli conflict. As for the US government overtly supporting Israel - Nothing wrong with that. As for unstintingly supporting Israel that isn't necessarily wrong either. Neither claim says anything directly about Israel's position or actions, or the rest of the world's response to Israel. Europe being closer to Israel is a rather weak base for any argument that their opinions are more likely to be correct. Neither that fact, nor the facts about America's education system necessarily mean that Europeans know more about Israel, but even if they do, knowing more doesn't automatically lead to the correct judgement. If you want to argue about the propriety of Israel's actions you would be better served by doing so directly rather than making an argument that is the functional equivalent of "the Europeans are against Israel and they are so smart...". Arguments from authority are very weak if both sides of the debate don't accept the authority.
