I'm not making this political or personal. This is not the first time FEMA screwed up. And FEMA was formed before Bush became President. I can remember screaming and yelling in CA about the slowness and lack of response of FEMA in 1989 and 1996.

The fact is, your first line of defense is local. Yeah, some NOPD cops deserted. Most stayed and did the best they could with the resources they had.

Ginger pointing? I don't remember one finger pointed at RDW's father. There WERE fingers pointed (rightfully) at Holiday Inn for deserting him.

Bush had little to do with this. FEMA existed before him. People were led to believe the Feds would always ride to the rescue.

You may think that, once you opened your wallet, generously, that it was all done, but it wasn't.
It can't be, A large part of a major city was destroyed. It could take decades to rebuild.
