Oh my gosh, you mean there were--immigrants--who came into Israel to populate it, so that makes it all different? Until you understand that this is in fact different you will never understand anything. To adopt your tone: Gee, they seem to have perpetual problems between Israel and the Pals, I wonder why? BTW, the Africaaners in S. Africa had much the same story to tell. Also hounded by one group or another. Still true today. And many of them think they should have a country of their own now, so they can preserve their culture without dying out. Well, perhaps...
