got me confused. A zionist as i understand believes its the duty of all jews to go to israel. I am very happy here and have no desire to live there. Having said that, as a Jew its nice to have israel around, just as it is for an irish american to have ireland. The immediate roots of my generation of jewish americans were destroyed by the nazis. US is a great melting pot of folks who plant roots here because they know what roots mean. I dont know if that makes much sense but it is more or less how i feel.
