There was something in the news the other day (or maybe today) about pressure for him to allow two former leaders back into the country for elections scheduled for next year. Not sure how likely that is - just another bit of news.

And its a big problem given their nuclear arsenal. A radical regime may very well sell/give nukes to other parties ... including Saudi Arabia and even worse, al Qaida. If we don't do something eventually there will be several Muslim countries with nuclear weapons. Once that point is reached, when a mushroom cloud forms over NYC, San Francisco, or DC - who do we nuke in retaliation?
