re: it looks like it was planned to coincide with the election Whatever... it's a snow job, a complete lie. It's well documented that Clinton was very concerned about terrorism... Bush came in and didn't give it a second thought. He rejected anything and everything that the Clinton admin thought was important. We forget they don't win elections by their past performance. Then came 9/11. It wouldn't have happened under Clinton, with all the warnings No doubt. What seems difficult for Bush, Clinton accomplished without breaking a sweat.
