I don't think very many people 'switch' even under the worst of scenarios.

Doctors know we are all going to die. If a doctor treats you and says you may get worse or die... but you have a recovery, then everyone is happily declaring miracles and maybe the doctor gets a pat on the back for the treatment protocol. You don't find many doctors declaring a long life for patients that have a serious condition. There is a reason for that. If the patient suddenly takes a turn for the worst the Doctor finds deep doo doo at his door step and often gets blamed.

Bush is in charge of the condition of terrorism in this country. I was just thinking of all the bash Bush rhetoric that could be generated on the back of that 'safer' comment. Big mistake if you ask me... but I agree it probably wont mean anything with regards to partisan divisions.

The thought of her in charge, alone, is reason enough to vote repub. Sheesh.

I like this excerpt from one of Nancy Pelosi's speeches:

“Democrats will accomplish this with civility, honesty, and fiscal responsibility because on the very first day, we will pass a reform package, Honest Leadership, Open Government, to make the most corrupt, closed Congress in history into the most open and honest one. We will pass our civility package, which will turn the Congress into an arena of ideas instead of an auction house where legislation goes to the highest bidder." (NANCY PELOSI, June 13, 2006)

I didn't care for the rest of her speech but I liked this part. If she can do this for us, great! However, I don't see any others in congress rallying to this cause.
