Sorry, MQ, but you're making a mountain out of a mole hill. Companies like Q are always gonna retain the best counsel available . . . because they can. But "best" does not always equate to "highest price."

You're right, facts don't change, but sometime not all facts are brought to light, and it's more important what the lawyer does with those facts to craft his argument.

Bottom line, Q presently finds itself involved in about a half dozen separate actions, in addition to whatever legal work it is now commissioning on behalf of future licensing agreements for new technologies it is creating. It's completely foreseeable that its legal expenses at this juncture are going to exceed considerably those of the past few years . . . "when life was much simpler."
