Hawk, I found it amazing that Congress issued a report destroying the link between Saddam and Zarqawi. The presence of US troops today is to support the new government in Iraq against the attacks from al quaeda. Saddam has been in jail for almost 2 years now. Zarqawi was killed in bombings 6 months ago.

Am I missing something? The war was launched against Saddam's wmd. I don't think Zarqawi was even in the country at that time. Why can't the Congress recognize the initial war against Saddam lasted about 2 weeks, but the much tougher war against the insurgents has been ongoing.

Our military position shifted as the wot moved from wmd to the al quaeda. This goes to prove the point I was talking about the other day. The insurgents are primarily concerned with taking control of Muslim governments. They saw an opportunity given the power vacuum in Iraq and sought to exploit the situation to their own advantage. They have been killing Shiite mosques, police recruits, US military, and everyone that stands in their way of power.

Why doesn't Congress spend some time writing reports about the real bad guys? It's time for the Democrats to get a clue now that military control is being returned to the Iraqis. They need to start covering up their pathetic lack of leadership the past 5 years since 911 and say they supported the mission the whole time.

Crime in Washington should be our first concern as Americans. When we elect people and pay them to look after our public affairs we do not give them the right to become criminals and to commit crimes with the power and money we give them to act in our names. A criminal in Washington is still just a criminal. Those around Bush are right to be worried about thier risk of being prosecuted under the War Crimes Act.
