The Libertarian side of the right isn't a big supporter of ID. The supporters are from the religious right. Different groups.

They have lots of overlap unfortunately. The neocon movement as well. In fact, IIRC Kristol and his wife (Gertrude Himmelfarb) have long had connections with anti-evolution goals. True, there are some right wing Libertarians who are correctly aghast at such nonsense, (George Will comes to mind), but most either agree, or wisely stay silent, which IMO amounts to the same thing.

Outfits like the American Enterprise Institute are the forums for such "scholarly" debate. As near as I can tell, they are Libertarian, but they might be religious nuts as well.
