Very, very interesting as one too many cops have already been killed in the line of duty! This should send a very strong message that cops are very capable of fighting back and then some........ It's hard to say who was right and who was wrong without having witnessed what had happened blow by blow. But certain it is that far too many young people these days are very hot-headed and impulsive with a devil-may-care attitude towards people in authority. Maybe this characteristic arose from their having consumed too much steak and hamburgers and Moosehead beer which have somehow made them "bull-headed"? Far too many young punks today commit crimes because they could afford to do the time. And this is because more often than not, the law treats them with kiddie-gloves and their sentences were often reduced during their prison term for "good behaviour". Result: the psychologists were conned and the criminals were released too soon only to re-offend. To be sure, the prison system in Canada sucks! and it is too bad our politicians have been overly influenced by the psychologists with their new-fangled notions of how criminals should be treated. By the way, I once attended a meeting organized by a prison wardens group. When the audience was asked for their input of how the misbehaving imprisoned criminals should be treated, many at the meeting recommended kindness and soft kiddie-gloves treatment and with trying to make them born-again Christians. But, when I said that they should be wacked hard with a bike chain or whipped and caned, the speakers' eyes lit up; he laughed, nodded vigorously and agreed wholeheartedly with me. I would like to offer more comments but I guess I have given enough for today, eh? .
