Regarding your last sentence...

If the dems had ideas other than populist, Rubin wouldn't be doing this. It is because they (the dem leadership) haven't come forward with anything but criticism that he, Summers et al find it necessary to try move the party from their endless criticism to proposing some economic ideas with meaning.

BTW, I don't live on an island. :-) I'm well aware of Rubins' and Summer's background. It is their background in the party which gives them the credibility to make proposals. The question for me is whether the leadership of the party (Dean and the Soros believers) will accept their ideas.

BBTW, your assumption that I am campaigning is not unexpected. The fact are different. I am merely commenting on the article and your views.
