I don't agree with the characterization of the threats in the letter -- there are definitely threats but more like "we'll remember this when we're in charge and you won't like it."

I finally got around to reading these "threats." You stuck it right under my nose so I read it. I've been reading claims that they threatened to pull ABC's license and that's way too much inference, IMO. It was framed as a request that they live up to their responsibilities. At worst it was an implied threat that that they might be less favorably disposed to ABC in the future.
