I have my name on a Prius waiting list actually. The wait for the one I want is 2 mos, when they get it in I will take a test drive.

I work for some VCs and about 2 weeks ago one of the best VCs drove up in a Prius. This crowd usually drives a very high end Mercedes or some other luxury vehicle. But she bought a Prius and now can drive in the diamond lane. Now that somebody in the office who has a better job than me has a Prius, that means I can get one. I'm in.

Looks like that price is wrong. It looks like $100K is closer!

And as we now know Lithium batteries have a tendency to explode and burn. Using them in a automobile is likely to expose more exploding battery issues and the cost of a recall for electric automobiles would be enormous.
YEAH. Been some news about laptops catscing fire recently, hasn't there? I wouldn't be surprised to see lithium batteries made illegal in cars. Too much danger to other cars and rescue workers.

I would assume that Lizzie is already driving around SV in a Toyota Prius or equivalent.
I don't think that Prius she's counting on for status is going to get her much the first time someone drives in in a $100K Tesla. :-)
