Submission to a code or a way of life isn't exactly subjecting you to slavery. Unless God comes down and directly orders you to do something, your just agreeing to submit to a particular vision of what you think is right, just and required. You decide willingly if you accept that vision or not before your sign on. Also if you change your mind you don't get tortured, imprisoned or killed for it.


It sounds like you're saying you could be libertarian (political philosophy) and voluntarily submit to a king or despot. Makes me itch to think about it.


That wasn't really what I was saying. I could examine that idea if you want me to, but I don't think you do, and I'm not sure I want to.
