"All over the road on 101"

You're talking CA, right? Not Mars? I've never seen one.
Here's another ad:

September 2006. Guess what? That's THIS MONTH. It talks about "Available soon". Maybe THAT'S WHY I've never seen one.

The Tesla Roadster is available for purchase soon in Northern & Southern California (Summer 2007), Chicago (Fall 2007), New York and Miami (Late 2007).
Quote from the above ad.

Maybe you shouldn't put me omn ignore. Somebody needs to keep you in touch with reality.

Did I say Davis would bite the dust or not? What happened?

There are a few cars on the road that say "EV". They are GM's crashed experiment with electric cars. Lizzie, I'm a EE. I know something about electricity, batteries, etc. Electric cars have been a wish for a LONG time. There were some at the start of the automobile age, but they were driven to extinction by gasoline cars- -and not because GM wanted to kill competition. The basic problem electric cars have is electric energy storage. It costs too much, weighs too much, gives too little mileage, and takes to long to recharge to be practical.

There has been improvement in batteries that are starting to overcome some of the drawbacks. Maybe soon they'll be able to take on gas engines. But no available car can. That's why hybrids had an opening. They can use electricity at low speeds and to starts, then switch to gas or a combination of gas and electric. They can also use the electric motors as generators during braking and re-store part of the energy used to get the car moving.

I've also asked Ish to talk about ethanol and the problems with it.
