Ethanol. It's made from the starch left over when the protein and oil taken used from the grain. Makes for cheap food for cattle and hogs. The big user for that left over starch is paper.

OT -- If cost/BTU to produce the ethanol is about the same as the price/BTU realized for the ethanol produced ... and the process is that inefficient ... then the ethanol producers should all be going broke soon.
