I don't question your finding of commonalities. I'm just objecting to the libertarian umbrella label you've applied. I'm talking about positions which Libertarian Think Tanks stake out and defend until they are untenable. If what you are suggesting, is that Libertarians approach scientific results simply based on "we will be pro-business", I guess I'm agreeing with you. But why repeatedly let yourself be blindsided? It does not help ones credibility on other fronts, where perhaps your views should be considered seriously. I'm actually pro free enterprise, although I've grown to accept regulation as one of the necessary and workable tools modern societies need. I think regulation can be reduced with better transparency, and perhaps novel means of market enforced responsibility, but that is a real weed patch.
