I just saw both flight 93 movies over the last 2 days. One thing both movies stress is that Rules of Engagement (authorization to shoot down) would have had to come from the president only. Now this may be convenient fiction, but it is stressed as absolute truth in both movies. My question is, if this is true, how can it be even somewhat tolerable that Bush sat reading My Pet Goat for any length of time after hearing about planes being hijacked?
