gg, Just retire and have basic needs met by private pension plans, that is not the impression that many pensions evoke.. I guess I'm jaded when I think of some of the public sector plans for example.. Am I missing the boat here though and you mean self managed when you say private ? IMO it's in the best interest of the public good to have a society where no one falls through the cracks unless they plan to.. so yes pensions are good.. Al
