(And... why would anyone thing it's a 'big deal' since it 'taking control of it's military command' HASN'T happened yet?) 'Control' was 'handed over' for ONLY the 8th Iraqi Army Division (all Shi'a, deep in the all Shi'a South --- where the only people to shoot are Shiites, so it's probably pretty counter-productive to have Americans doing the shooting there anyway, <g>), and some trainer aircraft and a few run-down PT-type boats, the so-called 'air force and the navy'. The other nine Iraqi division (where the fighting is) remain under firm U.S. command. Message 22792647
