Well if they could orchestrate things that well they were a hell of a lot smarter than the Demoncrats, who couldn't even organize a mostly progressive Hollywood to find out about the 9/11 movie until the week before it is to be shown.....

So, it logically follows that if they did have knowledge of such an attack, they might allow it to go forward.

That's a very big leap to go from desire to permitting when the results are catostrophic.

Even allowing the possible notion of PNAC/neocons willing to accept such a hit on the US it would have to involve the cooperation of careers intelligence personnel, sic, not political appointees.

Assume for a moment that there was intelligence that indicated such an attack were to occur. There would be a significant number of career intelligence employees and probably military personnel that would be aware before the Administration knew about it. I don't believe it's reasonable to expect that each and every one of them would keep quiet.
