Lane3 and CobaltBlue, Patient-controlled analgesia pumps (which can contain any of a variety of pain-killers, not just morphine) are routinely given to patients in and out of the hospital setting.

For your purposes, however, the catch would that the device is programmed to dispense a certain amount of medication and at certain timed intervals. It might allow you to go over a little bit here and there but not nearly enough to cause death or even a good stupor. - Holly
