I already told you that WorldNetDaily did a hit piece on him. They said in an article that Professor Jones was advocating violent overthrow of the government. He never has advocated that or said that, and WorldNetDaily retracted their story. None the less the damage from the hit piece was done.

Obviously pressure was brought to bear on BYU. BYU responded as they felt they needed to. But understand the reason that precipitated the review was a hit piece that was not even true.

Also understand that Professor Jones has found residue of Thermite on the steel from the WTC. Thermite is a patented formulation. The patent is held by the government. Mr Jones has also said that he now believes that the buildings were brought down by controlled demolition, that Thermite was used and that he believes that persons within the government are involved. He does not say that Bush is involved.

The fact that this man is a very soft spoken and conservative individual should cause all of us to pause and to listen. Nobody would bring this kind of grief upon themselves for some twisted personal agenda. The man truly believes in what he is saying and appears to be 100% sincere.

Regardless of what he is saying is true or not. It is wrong for BYU to have censored his work and his papers. I might add that all of the work he posted on his university web site had undergone an unprecedented triple peer review. If folks like Professor Jones are silenced for their views and opinions, then we might as well admit that we are living in a fascist state already.

My view on the events of 9-11 is that when the government or other elements are actively involved in silencing these so called nutcases, that is more of an indictment against them. Obviously they fear what the man has to say, and that is troubling in and of itself. For if they were clean, they would have no fear of mild mannered Jones.

When we lose freedom of speech, freedom is not far behind.
