Jeff, Re: DVB- H NOK + MOT , and “I agree with Scratchmyback to the extent that inferior technology, pushed by a dominant player, can be resoundingly successful.”

I hope it is “resoundingly successful” as that means 3G sales and Q revenue. MediaFLO may present a better user experience with the faster channel switching time, etc. It appears that with the BSkyB trial in the UK the Q will at least have an opportunity to showcase MediaFLO’s apparent advantages over DVB-H. So, progress is happening in Euroland against the backdrop of the mandated exclusion of Qualcomm’s CDMA in prior years.

The Q is to support both MediaFLO and DVB-H in their chipsets, allowing the Q’s MSM’s to compete in the DVB-H market.

Further, from a recent PR the handset manufactures / carriers can incorporate MediaFLO IPR into their devices without incurring an incremental royalty increase, another benefit from the Q’s licensing model.
