yeah but that was then.

GM spent something like a billion dollars on their EV-1 electric car, ended up leasing a couple hundred, then junked the program and crushed the cars...


Like I said, I have read the reviews on this car and they are excellent. And, they are SOLD OUT.

You know- I am an apple investor. Earlier this year virtually EVERY ANALYST was saying mac would not gain share. Then apple released a laptop with a low end pricepoint at $1099 and Apple was downgraded. 6 mos later it is obvious that the conventional wisdom of the industry was wrong. This Tesla car is like that. They have already won the MARKETING war. Which means they have half won the war.

As for what GM did, who cares. They have done nothing but create bus-size SUVs for years. OBviously the company is mired in their past with the pension issues they have. GM is not going to be able to compete in this, unless they fund a totally new startup and leave it alone.
