Hey, great analysis! He points out that iphone.org was registered 7 years ago, so obviously that can only mean that TODAY IS THE DAY WE NEED TO RAISE OUR PRICE TARGETS.

Well, analysts have their own agenda/reasons to upgrade and downgrade stocks but it is not unreasonable to expect an iPhone in the next 6 months or so and if that is indeed a possibility, one needs to evaluate the following-

a. Can Apple have a 1-2% marketshare in a 1B+ units/year market in 2007? What kind of marketshare can one expect for Apple in this highly competitive cell phone market in 2008 and beyond?

b. What kind of ASP/U can one expect for their iPhone? What kind of margins can one expect? Will it dilute or expand margins?

c. Will this growth come at the expense of low to mid-end flash based mp3 players? What would be net impact on Rev growth?

Answers to some of these questions will help determine the direction of Apple's future stock price and one can either go Long or Short or just stay away from it.
