Happy birfday, Rob

p.s. did you notice that if you move the "9" in 19, and flip the "9" upside down,...

uh, never mind. I'm sure Rosie is out there lurking somewhere, and it's too early to be sent to my room.

Mike

A19 Trivia

Altair19 shares the same birthday (Sept. 12) with H. L. Menken...

"The legislature of the U. S. state of Arkansas passed a motion to pray for Mencken's soul after he had called the state the "apex of moronia." (from wikipedia)

en.wikipedia.org

and George Jones who is 75 today.

Frank Sinatra once called him "the second best white male singer." Jones is set to release a duet album with Merle Haggard on October 24, 2006 called "Kicking Out the Footlights...Again." (also from wikipedia)

more A19 trivia...

i just found out that...

Altair19 shares the same birthday (Sept. 12) with NNBMer Raven !!

i got an email from her tonight and i don't think she'd mind if
i share an excerpt... (if she does i'll beg for forgiveness
and quote the raven nevermore) <g>

(Erika is her daughter... she also lost a son in his early
years... i don't know if i could handle that and still be a
useful person. i really, really admire her courage, stamina
and continuing contributions to the universe. as siouxpal
would say, "altair and raven are possibly the best humans on
the planet." we'll say the same about the rest of the NNBMers,
but they'll have to wait till it's their birthday.) <g>

here's her quote:

"I had my best BD (today).... we were in Houston yesterday and today for Erika's check-up. She's still cancer free!! Nothing makes me happier, for the way I see it, Zeke and I have each lived a long life, so whatever we have left is just "icing."... all I wish is that she gets a long, healthy life, too.

Had a very happy lunch with her after we left the hospital; she still wants so much for me to have special BDs.... reminds me of when the kids were young, so excited from the moment they awoke. I, too, felt like a kid after we got the results of the tests. I am so thankful to that great hospital, and if i lived in Houston, i would give all my free time to volunteer in whatever way i could. the only thing i have been able to do is joined an 8 year ovarian cancer research study in '04. i go through some lab work, etc. once a year, and i try very hard not to choke up when i see so many ill people throughout."

Happie BD RAVEN!! a BD doesn't get any better than that!

ps- the reason i get emails from her is that she is my online
español tutor. i learn a lot about life from her in two languages. viva la revolución!
