Richard Clarke knows the ABC docu-drama is fiction and phony partisanship. I haven't seen it, but if Clarke calls it phony then it is. No one knows better than Clarke.

As we all know, Bush was completely AWOL on terrorism prior to 9-11 and in many ways after 9-11, but Clinton, though not perfect, worked hard against Al Qaida. Also, Clinton was never offered Bin Laden. That is a pure rightwing myth.

Clarke was the head of the anti Al Qaida operations under Clinton, but Bush demoted Clarke to computer virus control and didn't replace him. So until after 9-11 we had no special operati8ons against Al Qaida whatsoever under Bush. Nothing. And Bush was warned on 8-6-01 of course. That would make a better film, seeing the presdient warned and doing nothing while proptecting all his saudi oil pals.
