In the last 50 years we've dropped a hell of a lot of ordinance on the middle east. You think that there will be no backlash for those actions? The bombing of the Cole was probably considered payback by the perpetrators. How do you think you would react to military presence here or near the United States by an Arab country that had already been dropping bombs on us for 50 years? Obviously none of these acts are right and good in any moral sense. But where will the madness end? Can more madness be the solution? I think I favor waging peace with at least the same vigor as we wage war, with the hope of eventually becoming a more peaceful planet.
