Just had the most ridiculous dismissal of the president's speech — Bush just made his case for the Republican party on election day, period - According to George Stephanopoulos & Charlie Gibson.

As much as I want Republicans to win (well, for the most part)...it was a little bigger than that....

I read the speech. It was excellent.

I have to wonder though. When Bush said,

<< "Five years ago, this date -- September the 11th -- was seared into America's memory." >>

Was he taking a swipe at John Kerry who said in the Congressional Record that his so called illegal, covert trip into Cambodia under orders by President ELECT Nixon was "seared, seared" into Kerry's memory.
