Z, Well, are all campaign finance laws censorship?

Of course. We as a society tolerate a certain level of censorship on network TV, such as curse words and "wardrobe malfunctions." Once again, it goes back to where you want to draw the line.

But using campaign finance laws to censor any speech you don't agree with goes against the original purpose of said laws, which is to "take the money out of politics." Not only that, but the motivation for such censorship (or attempted censorship) is purely political. That to me is an abuse of campaign finance law.
